Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-13
Unhype ('we', 'us') values your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information We Collect
When you send an enquiry to a clinic through Unhype, we collect the name, email address, and optional phone number you enter, your message, the treatments you are interested in, and the clinics you selected. If a clinic replies through our system, we also store that reply so you can view it. If you sign in to Unbook with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. Practitioners using Unbook may enter contact details of their own clients, which we store on their behalf. We also collect basic technical information about visits, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and referring site, in aggregated and anonymised form.
How We Use Information
We use your enquiry details to deliver your message to the clinics you chose, to send you a confirmation email with a link to track replies, and to notify you when a clinic responds. We use account information to sign you in and operate your Unbook account. We use aggregated usage data to understand which pages and features are useful and to improve the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Information Sharing
When you send an enquiry, your name, contact details, and message are forwarded to the clinics you selected so they can respond. Each clinic handles that information under its own privacy policy. We also rely on service providers to run Unhype: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and anonymised analytics), Resend (transactional email), and Google (Maps and sign-in). These providers only process data on our behalf, and some are located outside Australia, including in the United States. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not otherwise sell, rent, or share your personal information.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in to Unbook. Our analytics provider, Vercel Analytics, does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. Google Maps may set its own cookies when a map is displayed. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features such as signing in may stop working.
Storage and Security
Your information is stored with our service providers and protected by access controls, encryption in transit, and encryption at rest. Only authorised Unhype staff can access personal information, and only when needed to operate the service. We keep enquiry records and account data for as long as needed to provide the service, and delete or de-identify them when they are no longer required.
Access, Correction, and Deletion
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@unhype.live. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you have a complaint about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will work to resolve it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
